Developing women leaders is our mission. As the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in cable and telecommunications, Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) is at the forefront of an industry undergoing constant change. Since its founding in 1979, WICT has remained steadfast in its resolve to advance the position and influence of women through proven leadership programs and services at both the national and local level.

WICT embraces a spirit of collaboration within its organization and throughout the industry. We partner with cable and telecommunications industry leaders to provide leadership programs and services, and challenge these companies to create professional advancement opportunities for women.

Our primary goal is to serve the needs and interests of each of our members. Our local chapters are an integral part of Women in Cable & Telecommunications. We provide highly rated programming and networking events through 22 chapters nationwide.

Because every chapter has its own distinct style and governing board, members help shape the direction of their association.

Membership in WICT grants access to award winning national programs and more than 5,000 cable and telecommunications women professionals nationwide for networking and professional development opportunities.

By supporting WICT's programs and initiatives, companies foster environments that provide leadership and development opportunities for women, while advancing the industry as a whole. Studies by the American Management Association and the Society of Human Resources Management, among others, demonstrate the bottom-line benefits of diversity in the workplace. The WICT Foundation's 2001 Best Practices survey further attests to the market advantages of senior management diversity in the telecommunications industry.

Women in Cable & Telecommunications Foundation is the charitable arm of WICT. The Foundation serves as an industry catalyst for change through research, development, advocacy and education. Its research initiatives on issues such as salary parity and work/life balance have inspired industry-wide advancements for women. The Foundation's development efforts are responsible for some of WICT's most innovative programs, particularly the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.
Engage in the development of leaders. Be a part of WICT.
